The City of St. Augustine will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to mark the completion of the Court Theophelia Flood Mitigation Project.The ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 9:30 a.m. on Bannan Avenue, between Court Theophelia and Court Louise streets. The public is invited to attend and learn more about the project.The improvements are designed to enhance drainage, reduce standing water in streets and provide greater protection from localized flooding in the Court Theophelia neighborhood.The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Resilient Florida Program funded the project entirely.The project also includes the city’s first green stormwater infrastructure installation using a bioswale. The system captures and manages stormwater while improving water quality and complementing traditional drainage improvements.
