Glynn County police investigating person found dead near St. Simons Marina

The Glynn County Police Department said it is investigating the death of a person found in the area of St. Simons Marina on Thursday.Officials said there is no threat to the public and this is an isolated incident. “At this stage of the investigation, department members have thoroughly processed the scene, conducted interviews, and are continuing to follow all available leads to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the agency said on its Facebook. “As with any active investigation, the department is committed to conducting a complete and impartial investigation before drawing conclusions.”Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Clark at 912-946-2566 or the Glynn County Police Department Non-Emergency number at 912-554-3645.
